Description
AWARE (Available Water Remaining) is a method for assessing the potential impact of water withdrawal on the availability of freshwater in a region.The method is based on the concept of "remaining available water", which is the amount of water left after meeting the needs of humans and ecosystems.
AWARE is used to calculate an impact factor for each product or service, which can be used to compare different products or services in terms of their impact on water.The AWARE website provides information about the method, how the impact factor is calculated and how it can be used.
